From formal wear to club wear we all have to answer the inevitable question of what to wear to that next holiday event we’re invited to. Whether you’re a trend setter, or into classic silhouettes find your holiday wardrobe inspiration here.
When you’re headed to a formal affair don’t despair. If you are like me, these events don’t come around very often. I love going to them, but who has the extra money to sink into an expensive garment? One money saving option is to rent a gown from Rent the Runway. I recently tried their service and was so pleased. They have a range of price points, but I opted for a pricier option. I wanted a stunning gown and found several that retailed for over $1,000 but were available to rent for up to 3 days for less than $200. They sent the dress I wanted in two different sizes and a back up dress in two sizes at no additional cost just in case I didn’t like the first. The best part was that I didn’t have to worry about cleaning, I just sent the garments back in their custom bags for Rent the Runway to take care of. If that’s not your style take a look at the stunning looks I pulled for your to browse through below if you are on the market for that perfect show stopping formal look.
It’s one of the most romantic times of year and with that comes candle light and ambiance. Shine bright in sequins fit for any occasion in looks like these.
Little Black Dress Much?
Investing in a timeless black dress is always a good idea. I’m an advocate of living and dressing in color, but a classic black silhouette is a quick solution for a last minute occasion and one that’s easy to keep fresh with trendier accessories. I’ve grabbed a few recent favs to link below.
One Piece Wonders
I feel like jumpsuits are a sure fire way to steal the scene at any occasion. I love seeing how fashionistas style these up. You can get really creative with a chic romper or jumpsuit, and they tend to feel a little hipper and more casual than a cocktail dress. Here are a few of my most recent favs.
Complete the Look
Some girls are accessory junkies but I tend to keep mine simple and classic. Staples would include pumps in neutral colors and strappy heels for sexier looks. Eye catching clutches and wraps with texture add an extra element to your ensemble, while highly saturated lip color will draw attention back up to your face.
I hope this post was able to bring you some much needed holiday style inspiration. Remember to treat yourself this season too! Enjoy the moment and connect with the ones you love.
Enjoy the Journey!
