Orlando. A Mecca for family friendly travel, full of treasured experiences for young and old. There is no doubt there are ample memories to be made when you visit Florida, but it can definitely get overwhelming determining where to start! As a travel and lifestyle expert, I’ve had my fair share of immersive experiences. For me though, there is something to be said of a destination that has it all. When we travel to Central Florida, we like to keep things easy and stay in a place that meets all our needs. Reunion Resort is definitely one of our favorites, and here’s why.
Although we stayed complimentary as guests of Reunion Resort, this review is 100% my own opinion.
Reunion Resort has become a family tradition for us. When we drive through the gates onto Reunion’s exclusive 2,200 acre property, we feel safe and secure. This is our haven, our private oasis in the midst of the traffic, advertising, and tourist traps that await in the surrounding acres outside the resort. When we adventure out, our journey back home to our accommodations in Reunion is always a breath of fresh air. You feel immediately at ease and relaxed. Reunion offers a variety of luxurious lodging types from one, two, and three bedroom Villas to multi-room Vacation Rentals. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it at Reunion, in addition to a whole lot of perks!
Speaking of perks, Reunion Resort’s private water park is a major one. In fact, it’s so great, my kids never want to leave. True story, we spent three days in a row just enjoying this private piece of paradise. The park has great service, adult beverages, terrific food, and fun music and games for the whole family to enjoy. On our last visit my husband’s family drove down from Tennessee and we all truly intended to journey off property and go to at least one of the big theme parks, but we all were enjoying ourselves so much at the water park, we just stayed. The water park is no additional cost to guests, and is not open to the public. When you aren’t at the water park, you might venture to one of the many pools scattered throughout the property as well. The park features a relaxing lazy river, play tower, lagoon, water slides, and beach volley ball court.
Perfectly situated outside of the most hectic part of Orlando, Reunion is located just 6 miles from Disney and only 20 minutes from the airport. In fact, you can enjoy the nightly display of Disney’s fireworks every evening from the property. We didn’t end up visiting the parks this time, but it was so convenient just to pop over to Disney Springs for some great shopping and dining.
When you inevitably work up an appetite, you won’t go hungry. You can enjoy sushi at the Grande Lobby Sushi Bar, elevated Italian at Forte Grille, off -link nibbles at the Clubhouse, fine dining at the resort’s rooftop restaurant Eleven, or room service if you’d like something closer to home. For families who enjoy crafting your own meals, put your in-room kitchen to good use and stock up at the nearby Publix for your own private feast.
Perfect for active guests and their families, Reunion offers a host of entertaining amenities. World class golf, pickleball courts, fitness classes, bike rentals, bocce ball courts and tennis await those seeking some action. When your busy day resolves, head to the spa for ultimate relaxation.
It’s hard to choose one favorite thing about Reunion. World class amenities, a luxurious and private haven, and personalized service top the list. It only takes a visit to fall in love, so be prepared, your next family tradition is only a stay away.
Enjoy the Journey!
