5 Ways to Enjoy Reunion Resort | Orlando’s Biggest Hidden Treasure | Review, Photos, Video

In the first season of my show I fell in love with the Salamander Hotel and Resort way of life. This family of resorts features epic golf greens, world class service, fine dining that will have you drooling, and spa destinations worth spending the day… or maybe week in. Having experienced everything Hammock Beach Resort had to offer, I was thrilled to be invited along with the family to stay at Reunion Resort in Orlando for a relaxing weekend away. In short, we had a blast. There is much to do in Orlando, but really… we had a hard time leaving the paradise that is Reunion Resort. Here are my:

5 Ways to Enjoy Reunion Resort Orlando’s Biggest Hidden Treasure

Reunion Resort, like Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, is designed for a weekend or a lifetime. Stay in The Grande, A Villa, or one of their Vacation Rentals for a “home away from home” experience with every luxury you could dream of. Our two room suite in The Grande was centrally located near the clubhouse, pools, and all the action. Granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, jacuzzi tubs, and deluxe bedding had our daughter… and us thinking we should really just move in. We loved enjoying our breakfast on the private balcony overlooking Orlando’s expansive skyline. Having direct access to their world class restaurants Eleven, and Forte just an elevator ride away was also ultra convenient.

2. Stay Cool

The Sunshine state is known for it’s sunny skies and steamy temps. Stay refreshed at one of Reunion Resort’s many pools including the rooftop pool. Make sure to visit their crown jewel, the family friendly water park open for all guests at no charge and to the public for a fee. We enjoyed the lazy river and shallow beach area, along with the water fort and slides. Reggae and summer time music drifted through the air while sunbathers were served tropical drinks. Lawn games kept the fun going all day, while I got a chance to pick up that book I put down weeks ago. The ambiance reminded me of the lido deck on a cruise, an atmosphere saturated in fun. All you had to do was jump in. One day we were scheduled to visit another park… in all honesty we played hooky and came back to the water park at Reunion… It was just that awesome. With plenty to do for all ages.

3. Never a dull moment.. Unless you’re into that.

If you are looking for relaxation, there’s plenty to be had. If you are looking to spice things up, literally, or keep the kids busy, Reunion has just what you are looking for. Ready to improve your handicap? Get some practice in on one of the resorts famous courses. Need a little insight? The Annika golf academy is located on site to help you fine tune your skills. Tennis, cooking classes, kids programs, and yoga are all on the list of exciting activities you can be a part of on the daily.

4. Retreat to the Spa

When you are spent from the day’s activities, sit back, relax, and rejuvenate at the spa. Massage, facials, salon packages, and restorative treatments are offered to revitalize your aching muscles and help you find that inner solace you’ve been missing. Try a deep tissue massage after putting in time on the green or plan your stay around a spa package, ideal for a girls getaway.

5. Satiate Your Appetite

Hungry? Anytime you turn around at Reunion your appetite has ample opportunity to be satiated. From the Clubhouse, to the Lobby Sushi bar, the fine dining Italian destination Forte, and the exquisite rooftop restaurant Eleven, all complete Reunions distinct atmosphere. We dined at Forte for an evening to remember, with one course outdoing the next. The loyal, and dedicated staff never missed an opportunity to make us feel special, and well taken care of. When I made requests of the history of the resort, I found them knowledgeable and passionate about all things Reunion and Salamander related.

Our stay was truly magical for the entire family. There is so much to see and do in Orlando and Reunion Resort is minutes from everywhere you want to be. Reserve your room with Reunion Resort the next time you visit Orlando. It is sure to become your new family tradition.

Until then…

Enjoy the Journey
