If you hadn’t noticed yet, ruffles and bell sleeves are trending this season. This stunning silk dress from Anthropologie stopped me in my tracks when I saw it. It absolutely glows. Generally my tastes steer away from prints, however this watercolor palette reminded me of a sunset and I was simply smitten. You can guarantee it wont be on the racks for long. The fit is extremely flattering, not to mention it’s as light as a cloud.
Because of the blend of colors it’s easy to accessorize. I chose to keep it pretty simple and pulled accents with blue in them to grab that faint hint of blue in the print. Strappy block heeled sandals I scored from AnUnlikelyPear, in a natural shade helped to extend the length of the entire ensemble. It slowly brings the eye down without taking away from the star of the number, the dress.
Soft curls, classic sunnies, and a rosy lip shade add a timeless appeal to an already sophisticated look. I love how the colors in this are perfect for Spring through Summer and right into Fall. You could easily layer it with tights, boots, and an edgy bomber or moto jacket, or simply keep it light and cool for those warmers months. Plenty of versatility, which is always a must for me.
I love how my balayage highlights add to the glow of this colorful frock. Special thanks to Rio Hair Studio for doing such an amazing job with my hair. I’ve been growing it out and have a few ideas for something new. Any inspiration for something new? Send it my way in the comments below.
